Mr. Boyd is the Founder and a Principal of Southport Mortgage Finance.  He has 32 years of experience in finance as a lender, developer, investor, hedge fund manager, entrepreneur, fixed income securities and derivatives trader, and portfolio manager.

 

Mr. Boyd held senior management positions at Bank of Boston, Kidder Peabody, and US Trust.  He also founded and managed The Southport Group of companies for 24 years which included investment management, securities trading, and the management of Southport Secured Lending Fund.
